Bearing a 2d olive-bistre and a ‘Halve Penny’ provisional surcharge on 1/- green showing the spaced surcharge (SG 207, 213a) tied by a PRETORIA (20 Apr) double circle datestamp with a second strike alongside. Amsterdam (11 May) arrival backstamp. Some light staining, otherwise a fine example of the provisional on cover and the 2½d per half ounce letter rate. |
