1899 (25th September), Railway Travelling Post Office / Late Fee envelope addressed to England. Bearing a single ½d green and eight 1d rose-red and green (SG 216, 217) all tied by R.P.K. HEEN (25 Sep) double circle datestamps. Newark (16 Oct) arrival backstamp. A superb example of the 2½d per half ounce letter rate to England with an additional 6d paying a ‘Late Fee’.
 
Note: the Travelling Post Office consisted of a separate mail coach with post office staff and was coupled to NZASM operated trains.
