| c1910 printed envelope containing within a black and white image of Victoria Falls, Devils Cataract. The base open and a note to 'PULL', and when done so revealing a further 12 small sized images of the Falls all in a concertina action. Published as the 'CAMERA' series with the photographs taken by T. D. Ravenscroft of Rondebosch. The reverse printed 'Per BOOK POST', and apparently posted from WOODSTOCK STATION, Cape, addressed to England (Handstamped 'Rectory, Woodstock'). The stamp no longer present. A delightful item, nothing similar to this previously seen and no doubt a rare survivor. |
