| 1940 4th June, long envelope bearing BSA Jubilee set of eight (SG 53-60), cancelled 'BULAWAYO'. Sent registered airmail to BULGARIA, routed via Egypt where opened there then resealed with printed bilingual 'EGYPTIAN CENSORSHIP' tape. Further with black 'PASSED BY CENSOR' and large violet octagonal 'POSTAL CENSOR' Egyptian cachet. Arrival backstamp. An extraordinary item. |
