£25 black and blue-green. Unusually well centred, hinge remnant, fine mint. BPA certificate (2022) states 'traces original gum, pressed thin spot at top, is genuine'. This a somewhat overly harsh opinion. SG 31
Note: of the few surviving examples of this rare stamp, many are noticeably off-centre. In addition, a significant number also appear to have been separated with scissors resulting in clipped and trimmed perforations. |
