| NIGER COAST PROTECTORATE 1894 QV 1st issue with ‘OIL RIVERS’ obliterated and ‘NIGER COAST’ added in the top margin. Collection of 87 stamps comprising: ½d vermilion (20 including a block of 4), 1d pale blue (6), 1d dull blue (14, including a block of 4), 2d green (9), 2½d carmine-lake (16, including a block of 4), 5d grey-lilac (8), 5d lilac (9) and 1/- black (5). Some with perforation differences. Odd small faults, the majority are fine used with a range of datestamps including BENIN RIVER, BONNY, BONNY RIVER, BRASS, BUGUMA, FORCADOS RIVER, OLD CALABAR, OLD CALABAR RIVER, OPOBO RIVER, SOMBREIRO RIVER and WARRI.
