POSTAL HISTORY
AC1002
Postal History / Advertising 1906 (8th January), KEVII ½d green postal stationery card addressed to Natal. The imprinted stamp cancelled by a Cape Town (JA 8) double circle datestamp and with a Pietermaritzburg (JA 12) arrival struck on the front. The reverse with printed details for the Cape Town firm “Townshend, Taylor & Snashall. / Lithographers, Printers, Stationers.”

Note: the name of this firm is remarkably similar to that given as printers of the 1897 issue of Bechuanaland (SG 56) which is stated in the SG catalogue as “Taylor & Marshall, Cape Town”. It is possible “Marshall” is an error for “Snashall”.
