Great Britain QV 1d vermilion postal stationery card overprinted for British Bechuanaland and surcharged ‘THREE HALF PENCE’ (H&G 8 / B&BS PC12). Addressed to Kimberley, the imprinted stamp is cancelled by a GABERONES / B.B.P (30 Jul) single circle datestamp with a second strike alongside. With a Kimberley (1 Aug) arrival datestamp struck on the front. Scarce usage. |
