c1926 Union of South Africa bilingual ‘Foreign Parcel Post’ label sent from the Tati Company, Francistown. Addressed to a bank in Bulawayo with contents stated as ‘Bullion’ weighing 13 pounds. Bearing 14s.5d in postage comprising a pair of Bradbury Wilkinson 5/- rose-carmine ‘Seahorses’, KGV definitive 1d scarlet, 4d grey-green and a strip of four 1/- bistre-brown, the latter with WATERMARK INVERTED. All tied by FRANCISTOWN double circle datestamps with indistinct date. (SG 89, 92, 95, 98w) and one 5/- just touched by blue registration line. An astonishing combination of rarity with Seahorses being exceptionally difficult to find commercially used on any kind of postal matter and the 1/- strip being one of the largest recorded multiples of this variety.
