| 1873 6d Postal stationery envelope produced by P. Davis & Son from the 3d improved eagle die with the original value altered. Size 143x77mm with the flap showing an embossed circle with central cross-hatching, being one of four different ornaments recorded on this size. A combined total of 5,000 envelopes were produced of both sizes. A few minor stains, otherwise fine unused. Very scarce. Q&J E4. |
