1960 QEII 75th Anniversary of the Protectorate. Design artwork for the issue, comprising large (164x118 mm) black and transparent photo images, the larger close to issued design but incorporating the Arms of the United Kingdom at centre, the smaller towards the issued design and size, although with a different portrait of Queen Victoria and the lettering slightly changed for the issued stamps. A further two photographic impressions of these two images, now in issued size, on thick card. A UNIQUE GROUP.
Note: these items have only recently surfaced and are ex. an employee of Harrisons at the time. They were about to be discarded until the timely intervention of someone with philatelic knowledge! |
