REVENUE 1901 (1st October), De La Rue folded Appendix sheet (194x307mm) with heading ‘1st October 1901. / Transvaal Req. 90/1900 / Appendix B. / Revenue.’ Bearing seven KEVII bicoloured imperforate revenue colour trials on Crown CC watermarked paper and denominated ‘2s6d’, six of which are in the issued colours (2/6, 10/-, £1, £5, £10 and £25) with the proposed duty for each annotated in manuscript above. The proposed colour for the 5/- was not accepted and has been crossed through and “See Appendix F” written alongside. With further initials including ‘WHM’ (Sir William Mercer) and dated ‘2.10.01’ at base. Superb and magnificent. Unique. Ex De La Rue Archives.
