| REVENUE 1896 (17th July), two ‘VERLOFBRIEF’ (Licence for extended trading) printed on the same sheet. The upper bearing a single 1/- and the lower a strip of three 2/- ‘Zegelregt’ revenue stamps (1/- per day of extension). All tied by oval ‘Landdrost Hof, Pietersburg’ cachets struck in violet dated 17 July. A few edge faults and tears, not affecting the adhesives. Attractive. |
