1924 KGV Admiral 10d, deep ultramarine and rose-red. Variety PRINTED DOUBLE, ONCE ALBINO. Horizontal pair with printer’s mark between at top, very fine and fresh unmounted, minor tone at top not visible from front. PFSA certificate (2011). SG 9 var.
Note: this variety is much the same as the 1½d listed as SG 3c. The albino impression is clearly visible on the reverse, being about 1mm lower than the printed impression. At present all that are known come from a single block of four with printer’s mark. |
