| 1958 (6th May), printed cheque for ‘The Bechuanaland Exploration Company, Limited’ made out for £165. Bearing a 1d cheque stamp embossed in vermilion and an additional 1d revenue stamp which appears to have been affixed after the cheque was cashed on the 20th May (dated on reverse) as it is affixed over a bank cachet dated 23 May. The reverse with a further 2d revenue stamp affixed paying the duty when the cheque was cashed. Some creasing otherwise fine. |
