Censored, registered envelope addressed to Germany, bearing 1d and 3d ‘V.R.I.’ surcharges and a Cape 2½d ultramarine overprinted 'ORANGE / RIVER / COLONY.' (SG 113, 117, 133) all tied by WINBURG / O.R.C. (30 Dec) single circle datestamps. With triangular PASSED / PRESS / CENSOR cachet struck in purple and straight-line ‘P.B.C.’ Hamburg (25 Jan) arrival backstamp. Part of flap missing and the adhesives with some staining, otherwise fine.
