Bearing a pair of Cape 2½d ultramarine overprinted ‘ORANGE / RIVER / COLONY.’ (SG 133) tied by BLOEMFONTEIN / O.R.C. (31 Aug) single circle datestamps. One stamp additionally tied by a straight-line ‘NPR’ cachet struck in blue with a second strike below. With large ‘R’ in oval registration mark in black and London (20 Sep) arrival backstamp. Central vertical fold, otherwise fine. |
