| 1899 (1st June), envelope addressed locally within Salisbury and sent at the unsealed letter rate. Bearing a single 1896 Large Arms ½d (SG 41) tied by a very fine SALISBURY (1 June) double circle datestamp. The flap with oval of ‘Judson & Wigg, / Salisbury, / Mashonaland.’ printed in black. An extremely rare early example of this rate in superb condition. Outstanding. |
