1905 13th September, black and white post card of Victoria Falls from the rain forest (Percy M. Clark), bearing 1d Falls (SG 94) applied to the picture side, cancelled bold complete large single ring 'BRITISH ASSOCIATION / SEP 13 1905 / VICTORIA FALLS' datestamp. Unaddressed.
Note: the image is very similar to that used for the design of the issued stamps. It has been suggested that the engravers at Waterloo's used a very similar image of the Falls from a picture hanging in the offices of the BSA Company in London. |
