1905 13th September, long BSAC registered stationery envelope, bearing complete set 1d to 5/- Falls (SG 94-99), thrice cancelled with large double ring 'BRITISH ASSOCIATION / SEP 13 1905 / VICTORIA FALLS' datestamps. Addressed to London, arrival backstamps. Folded vertically at centre not affecting adhesives. Very scarce.
Note: Miss Mary Williams was a member of the Overseas Party. It is interesting to note that only three datestamps have been used to cancel, most likely the Post Office officials becoming less enthusiastic to cancel each adhesive |
