| 1924 KGV Admiral issue. DIE PROOF of the King George V head as utilised for the revenue issue. Printed in black on cream wove paper (147x112mm, folded to 74x112mm), with full die sinking, showing printer’s guide marks, and reversed die number ‘10070’ at top, matching the die number which was later used for the day book proofs, proving this to be the finished portrait for the issue. A very fine and attractive proof. Rare. |
