| 1929 (30th May and 2nd July), KGV Field Marshal issue, group of three photographic essays, each denominated £1 and featuring a different portrait of the King. One is very close to the adopted design, the other two were unadopted and differ in the portraits and frames although sharing some features with the final, accepted design. Affixed to piece from the Bradbury Wilkinson daily record book along with an unadopted 10d postage and revenue design. Each is dated ‘30.5.29’ or ‘2.7.29’. A few minor blemishes and unobtrusive tear between upper essays. Exceptional and almost certainly unique early essays. |
