| 1930 KGV Field Marshal issue. COLOUR TRIAL of the 10/- revenue duty, printed in close to issued colours with a carmine-lake vignette and a yellowish green frame. The stamp is imperforate with an upper margin by which it has been affixed to a gilt-edged presentation card (63x104mm). Endorsed at top in ink “Approved but / surround to be / slightly darker / [initials] / 6/8/30”. With printed label at base ‘ENGRAVED & PRINTED BY BRADBURY WILKINSON & CO LTD / NEW MALDEN SURREY.’ Superb and most attractive. Rare. |
