| 1930 KGV Field Marshal issue. COLOUR TRIAL of the £1 revenue duty, printed in unissued colours with a black vignette and a pale reddish lilac frame. The stamp is imperforate with an upper margin by which it has been affixed to a gilt-edged presentation card (63x104mm). Endorsed at top in ink “NOT approved, / surround to be / much darker”. With printed label at base ‘ENGRAVED & PRINTED BY BRADBURY WILKINSON & CO LTD / NEW MALDEN SURREY.’ Superb and most attractive. Rare. |
