| 1893 Cape 1d carmine-red with overprint reading downwards. Lower left corner marginal PLATE BLOCK OF SIX (3x2) showing plate number ‘7’ at base. A few gum wrinkles and the left margin creased and with printer’s ink marks. Very faint hinge mark in margin and on one stamp, otherwise very fine unmounted mint. A remarkably scarce plate block.
