| 1904 (7th October), QV ½d brown postal stationery wrapper locally addressed. The imprinted stamp is cancelled with a PIETERMARITZBURG / NATAL (7 Oct) double circle datestamp. Endorsed ‘Left’ in pencil next to the address and showing a fine ‘GONE NO ADDRESS’ unframed straight line cachet (apparently not recorded by Hart, Kantey and Leon). Backstamped with a RETURNED LETTER OFFICE / NATAL (10 Oct) double circle datestamp struck in violet. Very scarce. |
