| 1948, Bechuanaland Stamps used in Tristan Da Cunha on envelope addressed to Bechuanaland. Bearing KGV ½d. 1d and 2d (SG 99, 100, 101) each tied by a TRISTAN DA CUNHA Cachet (Type VII, SG C9) struck in black with a different Cachet (Type VIII, SG C10) struck in violet at lower right. SEROWE arrival (1 Mar) double circle datestamp where the envelope was readdressed to Cape Town. Philatelically inspired, though unusual. |
