1900 (30th November), printed cover of the Bulawayo Club on reverse flap, bearing large Arms 4d (SG 70), cancelled with crisp upright ‘B.S.A.P. CAMP / BULAWAYO’ sc datestamp. Addressed to England and upon arrival re-addressed with Aldershot strike on front. With original letter also written on Bulawayo Club letterhead (full transcript included) partially ‘I hope you are all right again now, I am not surprised at you getting knocked up by all that rot at Marandellas – I heard all about it from the Bushman’, presumably referring to the native uprisings in Mashonaland. Delightful and clean. |
