10/-, deep rose-red and light green. Apparently showing a Die I effect on the King's right ear. Position 60, showing break in frame below 'DE' of 'RHODESIA (this confirmed from a lower right corner block of 12). Very fine mint. RARE. SG 241 var.
Note: through that only three mint and one used examples exist for this. Apparently a late plate 3 printing with position 60 from that showing the similar variety. Delightful and controvertial, with Steve Reah-Johnson writing an article describing this as 'an item for the Devil's Stamp Collection'. |
