| 1886 Cape 1/- green overprinted ‘British Bechuanaland’ in black. Showing the variety ‘B’ of ‘British’ omitted resulting in the ‘ritish’ error. Fine mint apart from a small thin spot mentioned on a Brandon opinion (1991) though not on an RPS certificate (1959). A major rarity of Bechuanaland philately with three mint examples recorded, one of which is in the Royal Collection. Ex ‘County’ (2003). SG 8a
