Forgery Cape 1887 5/- orange with forged 'British Bechuanaland.' overprint. Very fine mint with light hinge remnants. Very scarce in mint condition. (Cape SG 54)
Note: although predicted in the early philatelic press, the 5/- duty was never overprinted for use in Bechuanaland and genuine overprints have no stop after ‘Bechuanaland’.
