Forgery Cape 1871 5/- yellow-orange with forged 'British Bechuanaland' overprint. Heavy hinge remnants otherwise fine used with Port Elizabeth (SP 30 / 86) datestamp. (Cape SG 31)
Note: although predicted in the early philatelic press, the 5/- duty was never overprinted for use in Bechuanaland and genuine overprints have no stop after ‘Bechuanaland’.
