Bearing a QV ‘Jubilee’ 4d green and purple-brown and a 2d bistre with overprint reading up (SG 35, 32) tied by a light MAFEKING / BECHUANALAND (13 Jun) single circle datestamp. With partial Mossel Bay arrival backstamp. Flap damaged from, opening otherwise a fine example of the 2d per half-ounce letter from British Bechuanaland to ‘Other Southern African Territories’ with an additional 4d registration fee. |
