| 1888 Cape of Good Hope ½d grey-black overprinted ‘British Bechuanaland’ in green. Horizontal pair, fine fiscally used. There was no revenue rate in force requiring the use of a ½d stamp. However, a pair served to pay the one penny duty required for all receipts in payment of goods and services. Only two pairs have been recorded to date. Ex Brian Hurst Collection. SG 30
