c1907 Postal Fiscal. Transvaal postage KEVII 6d ‘black’ and brown-orange overprinted 'Bechuanaland Protectorate' in blue-black. Lower marginal BLOCK OF THIRTY (6x5) with interpanneau margin at right and showing plate number ‘1’ at base. Comprising the COMPLETE HALF-PANE SETTING OF 30, the first stamp showing the variety Raised ‘B’ and stamp 5 with Raised first ‘a’ in Bechuanaland. Marginal fault at lower right, the stamps are superb unmounted mint. Spectacular and exceptionally rare, and believed to be the largest surviving multiple. SG F1
Note: a block of 16 of this stamp was offered on the Corinphila ‘Besançon’ sale (June 2024) described as “believed to be the largest unused multiple extant.”
