| 1891 Cape 2d bistre with overprint (stereo) reading upwards. An UPPER LEFT PANE OF 60 with margins on three sides showing plate number ‘2’ at top. Row 3/3 showing the variety‘NO STOP AFTER ‘Bechuanaland’. Also showing various constant flaws including Stop and broken tail at base of ‘s’ of ‘British’ on positions R3/2, R3/4, R3/6, R7/2 and R7/6. Three stamps with light gum tones and some marginal perforations splitting, otherwise all (including the variety) are superb fresh unmounted mint. A rare multiple, especially so fine. SG 32, 32a |
