1895 (18th April), ‘Wirsing Bros.’ printed envelope addressed to the Cape, bearing two QV ‘Jubilee’ 1d lilac (SG 33) tied by two of the distinctive thin-barred ‘209’ BONCs with a proving MARIBOGO B.B. (AP 17) single circle datestamp alongside. Backstamped Midland Down (TPO) (AP 19) and Port Elizabeth (19 AP) transit / arrival datestamps. A scarce postmark on cover, especially with the proving BONC.
