1932 (22nd March), Official Stationery. Printed Union of South Africa official ‘Memorandum’ form used from Mafeking to an individual in Cape Town. The message confirms receipt of a postal order for Bechuanaland Protectorate postage stamps which were enclosed with the reply. With a large ‘POST OFFICE MAFEKING / 22 MAR 1932 / HEAD OFFICE FOR / BECHUANALAND PROTECTORATE’ oval cachet struck in violet at upper right.
