1966 QEII ½d Birds definitive, wmk. Crown CA sideways. Complete sheet of 60, showing 'THOMAS DE LA RUE & COMPANY' imprint and plates '1 1' in margin. Further the 'H' (row 2/2), 'shoulder' (row 8/4) flaws and substituted cliche (row 12/4) and lower right stamp apparently without the 'weak entry' (row 12/5). The plate crack that affects the lower margin below stamp 12/2 still clearly evident. Superb unmounted. A most unusual survivor. SG 227 and vars. (Heijtz 123c, v1, v3, v4)
