| 1893 Cape 1d carmine-red with overprint reading downwards. Showing the variety ‘British’ OMITTED entirely due to a shift of the overprint to the right, this stamp therefore emanates from column 1. Fresh mint with large hinge remainder and very lightly toned perforation at top mentioned on an otherwise clear BPA certificate (2015). Very rare. SG 38b
