1895 Cape 2d bistre with over-print (typeset) reading downwards. Upper marginal BLOCK OF FOUR from the right pane showing the varieties INVERTED ‘u’ FOR 2nd ‘n’ [Row 1/3] and NO DOTS TO ‘i’ OF ‘British’ [Row 1/4]. Very fine or superb mint, hinged in the margin and almost imperceptible hinge mark on the lower pair, the upper pair with both varieties is unmounted. A rare multiple. Ex Visser. SG 39, 39e, 39f
Note: the presence of perforations through the upper margin implies this block emanates from a lower right-hand pane.
