1908 KEVII watermark multiple Crown CA. £1 green and violet on chalk-surfaced paper. BLOCK OF EIGHT (4x2) with sheet margin at right. Superb unmounted mint. Extremely rare, with very few multiples recorded, this is believed to be the largest extant. Magnificent. SG 272a
Provenance: Sotheby Parke Bernet South Africa ‘Disa 79’ sale, April 1979. This block had not been seen for 45 years and was believed to have been split. Fortunately this proved not to be the case.
