Postmarks: Group of 23 different Numeral in Circle cancellations, comprising: 1 (Pretoria), 3 (Rustenburg), 4 (Klerksdorp) 5 (Bloemhof), 6 (Christiana), 7 (Lichtenburg), 8 (Zeerust / Marico), 9 (Heidelberg), 11 (Utrecht), 12 (Middelburg), 13 (Lydenburg), 14 (Pilgrim’s Rest), 15 Nylstroom), 16 (Marabastad), 17 (Eersteling), 20 (Standers Drift), 22 (Rolfontein), 23 (Emigratie), 25 (Komati / Steynsdorp), 26 (Sterkfontein), 28 (Jacobsdal), 36 (Steelpoort), 38 (Ventersdorp). Struck on a variety of ZAR issues, including a 1d revenue stamp. Some stamps are of variable quality though most of the strikes are clear and readable. A scarce group.
