1909 (22nd February), LATE FEE PAID envelope addressed and sent registered to England. Bearing KEVII 1d, 4d and 6d (SG 265, 266, 274) all tied by REGISTERED / JOHANNESBURG (22 Feb) double circle datestamps with an additional strike on the reverse and with a boxed Johannesburg registration cachet struck in violet at upper left. On arrival in London, the envelope was readdressed to Exeter. With Registered London (13 Mar), Exeter (13 Mar) transit / arrival backstamps and a Hornsey arrival struck on the front tying the 6d. The flap with printed ‘H. Eckstein & Co’ and red wax seal. A scarce franking.
