| Forgeries Fournier forgeries of the 1885 Vurtheim issue in close to issued colours. Comprising imperforate on gummed paper: 2d, 2½d, 3d, 1/- (block of eight (4x2), 5/- and £5 (block of 16). Also a perforated 4d. Each stamp apart from the £5 block are handstamped ‘FAUX’ in black. The £5 block has ‘FAC-SIMILÉ’ applied in diagonal rows in blue on the reverse. All are affixed to a trimmed page to which they were affixed by the L’Union Philatélique de Genève in 1928. A scarce group. SG 177, 179, 180, 181, 183, 185, 187 Forgeries. |
