Containing a printed notice regarding “The Half-Yearly General Meeting” of the “Pearl Central Mill and Gold Mining Co” of Barberton, held on 2nd November 1887. Bearing a single Vurtheim 1d (SG 176a) tied by a most unusual ‘1’ in horizontal 9-bar oval obliterator. An attractive example of what appears to be a 1d open letter rate to a neighbouring state. |
