1964 QEII 1d, major variety REDDISH VIOLET OMITTED. Very fine unmounted. RARE and spectacular. SG 93a

Note: this variety is often quoted as being a ‘coil’ stamp, which it is not. This presumably arose as a result of the perforations, which are inevitably irregular and coil like in appearance. Close examination shows there is in fact a part double strike along the affected sides. It is our opinion that these varieties are in fact printers waste, resumably incorrectly removed from the printers at the time.
1964 QE II definitive 2/6, horizontal strip of three right stamp showing large part of the vermilion printing omitted, leaving small portion on the lower tail fin. Superb unmounted. RARE. SG 102a part
