Note: a fire destroyed the Government buildings in Zomba on the night of February 17th-18th, 1919, and it is believed the stock of £10 in the dull ultramarine colour (SG 99) was destroyed with it. The £10 issued to replace it in 1919 had the frame in 'Royal Blue' (SG 99a) and it is this colour that is usually encountered both mint and fiscally used
